Shipping Policy
Order Processing
We process orders Monday to Friday during business hours. Once your order is confirmed and payment is received, it will typically be prepared for shipment within 1–2 business days.
Click and Collect
You can click and collect from our store at 41 Surrey Crescent, Grey Lynn. Thursday to Sunday 10 - 4pm. Simply tick the click and collect box and check out and your shipping fee will be removed. We will pack your order up for you and let you know when it is ready to collect (usually same day if it is on the days that the store is open.)
Shipping Methods and Delivery Times
Our preferred courier provider is NZ Post, with an overnight courier service for most North Island urban areas. South Island allow another day or two.
Delivery times may vary due to busy periods in store, carrier delays, weather, or public holidays.
We always use a tracked service with signature required unless you leave a note at check-out for us to do otherwise.
Rural delivery and oversized items may take a few days longer.
For Australian customers we ship tracked with NZ Post and Australian Post.
Shipping Costs
All our parcels are couriered, tracked with a flat fee of $8 for all urban in New Zealand. Rural Shipping and Oversize items will have a higher courier fee calculated at checkout.
Australian shipping is a flat rate of $25. Oversize items will not be able to sent to Australia at this stage.
Tracking Your Order
You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped.
Delivery Issues
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout.
If your order is delayed or does not arrive, please contact us promptly at hello@galastore.co.nz. within 7 days. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue. Gala is not responsible for packages lost or delayed due to inaccurate delivery information provided by customers, or by delivery failures of courier companies (parcel delivered to wrong address, left outside etc)
International Shipping
Currently, Gala only ships within New Zealand and to Australia, but please get in touch with us directly and we can arrange international shipping for you.
Packaging
All of our packaging is paper and card based, where needed we reuse packaging supplies like bubblewrap and boxes and we take the upmost care packaging your parcels.
Returns and Refunds
Your purchase can be returned, with proof of purchase, within 14 days for an exchange or refund.
Items must be in their original packaging, unused and in a resalable condition.
We will only offer a refund if the product is faulty, otherwise we will happily offer and exchange or store credit for any other returns including change of mind, gifting, wrong size.
We will offer a replacement first, if available, if the product is faulty, before offering a refund.Refunds will be processed to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the returned item.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is faulty or damaged.
Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, opened toys or products that have been used may not be eligible for return.
